Our Pastor
Rev. Vincent V. Russell is a native of Jackson, Mississippi. He is a 1985 graduate of John W. Provine High School, a 1994 Graduate of the Word of Life Bible Training Institute and a 1999 Graduate of The Jackson State University with a BBA in Business Administration. He acknowledged the call of God on his life at an early age and began his ministry by speaking and preaching in churches at the age of 16. He was licensed by Bishop Keith A. Butler, founder of Word of Faith Christian Center, Southfield, Michigan. He was ordained by Bishop Paul S. Morton, Atlanta, Georgia.
Our Pastor began his professional career at the age of 23 and was extremely successful to serve in capacities such as: Sales and Marketing Director, Director of Convention Services, Corporate Trainer, Operations Manager, Quality Control Manager, Quality Officer, Assistant Vice President, Vice President, Money Processing Operation Manager, General Manager, Strategic Market Director, Associate Director & Director of Cash Vault Services. He served in regional capacities which afforded him the opportunity to be responsible for the entire Southeast of the United States. He has resided in Louisiana, Alabama, Missouri, and Georgia, during his professional matriculation and was used to develop and train leadership for multiple corporations.
As our Pastor moved across the country, he was blessed to be a part of great ministries and serve under great men of God such as: Rev. Dr. S. L. Spann, Rev. Ronnie Sims, Bishop Kevin E. Wright, Rev. Reginald Gibson, Rev. Mike Purkey, and Pastor Creflo A. Dollar. He was ministered to and had hands laid on him by the late Kenneth E. Hagin, Dr. Lester Sumrall and Ed Dufresne. He is submitted to and pastored by his spiritual father, Bishop Paul S. Morton, Sr.
As our pastor matriculated in ministry, he was afforded the opportunity to serve various positions such as: Staff Minister, Instructor for Ministers In Training School of Ministry, Instructor for Layman’s School of Ministry, Campus Crusade Evangelism Ministry Leader, and guest lecturer for several Universities, Community Colleges and Corporate Entities across the country.
Pastor Russell was installed as pastor of the Greater Fairview M. B. Church on February 26, 2017. And, He has been part of the Greater Fairview Church Family for over 30 years. Pastor Russell has a genuine love for God and His people. Vincent is married to Dr. Natalie Morton Russell
Our 1st Lady Dr. Natalie Morton Russell
Dr. Natalie Morton Russell is a native of Detroit, Michigan. She was blessed to be born into a family of preachers and evangelists who were active in ministry and served the Lord. And, she accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and has been active in ministry throughout her life by serving in the Music Ministry, as a director, coordinator, choir member and soloist; Children’s Church leader; Christian Education and on many church committees over the years. It is Dr. Russell’s greatest desire to use the gifts God has graced her with to serve others.
Professionally, Dr. Russell earned a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Higher Education Administration from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She received a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership with a specialty in Human Resources Development and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from Loyola University in New Orleans.
Dr. Russell believes in the importance of education. She was appointed to several administration positions at Western Michigan University, extensively working with nontraditional and graduate students as the Director of Graduate Student Recruitment and Retention; Director of Kalamazoo and State-wide Programs; Weekend College Coordinator; Health Studies Advisor; and as an adjunct instructor over a 12 year period. She then joined the Kellogg Company in Battle Creek, Michigan, as Associate Manager in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
Proverbs 16:9 says, “A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.” Therefore, in 2008, Dr. Russell was led to accept the position of Church Administrator to serve at Changing A Generation Full Gospel Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, under the leadership of Bishop Paul S. Morton. As Church Administrator, she was responsible for the business operations of the 5,000 member church; supervised a staff of 25 people; and managed the programmatic functions of the Church ministries. Additionally, she was a part of the Ministerial Alliance and the College of Elders.
Dr. Natalie Morton Russell is married to Pastor Vincent V. Russell and they have one daughter, Raquel.
